Make your home space your very own by investing in some of our fabulous custom made curtains, from pinch pleat to eyelet, available in all of Australia’s favourite curtain styles right here at Quickfit Blinds & Curtains.

Custom Fabric Options

Quickfit has a wide variety of fabrics available; whether you’re looking for bold and colourful custom made curtains or a style that’s more subtle, we’ve got both sheer and blockout fabrics available.

Blockout custom curtains are an excellent choice for those looking to reduce the amount of external light availability in their interiors, alongside boosting the privacy within any given space in your home. That’s exactly what makes blockout curtain panels the perfect choice for home theatre spaces and rumpus rooms. If you’re looking for custom home theatre curtains, such as custom thermal curtains, to suit the generally larger windows that can be found in living or lounge room spaces, look no further than Quickfit’s selection of custom made blockout curtains.

Custom made sheer curtains can add subtle depth and detail to your windows, alongside also providing your home spaces with a small amount of privacy without infringing on natural light availability. All of our custom sheer curtains are designed to be easy to style, with fabrics like voile, linen, and cotton blends available in a range of whites, shades, and muted colours. Quickfit can also provide free fabric swatches to take the guesswork out of choosing your curtain fabric online.

Our staff are happy to provide you with more information.

Custom vs Ready-Made Curtains

Buying custom made curtains gives you the freedom to source window coverings that perfectly fit your windows at home, and in curtain styles that suit your personal tastes to a tee. They echo your personal style, offering endless possibilities from fabric choices to finishing touches. Ready-made curtains are a great affordable, but generic option. These curtains are great if you’re in a rush to purchase, but you may be compromising on details, personal style and quality.

FAQ

Why choose custom made curtains over ready made

Custom curtains are made to your exact measurements for a perfect fit and professional finish. You get more fabric options, linings, and header styles tailored to your needs.

How do I measure for custom curtains?

Measure the width of your curtain track or rod, then the drop from the top to your desired length. Use Quickfit’s step-by-step measuring guide to ensure accuracy.

How long do custom made curtains take to arrive?

Quickfit’s custom curtains ship in just 5 working days — delivered in 10 days, one of the fastest custom curtain turnaround times in Australia.

Can I see the fabric before ordering custom curtains?

Yes! We offer free fabric samples so you can compare colour, weight, and texture before you commit.

Are custom curtains expensive?accordion title here

While they may cost more than ready made initially, custom curtains last longer, fit better, and elevate your space. It’s a smart long-term investment.

Can you do Double Custom Made Curtains?

Yes. You simply order two setups, a sheer and a heavier fabric. If ordering S-Fold they come with the track. If installing on the ceiling, install the first track 6–7cm out from the wall and the second track (front track) 12cm out from the first track. For wall mount, you will need to purchase a double wall bracket for your Smart Drape S-Fold Track. The same applies for Pinch Pleats or Pencil Pleats using the Superglide track.

Custom curtains are made for your window rather than asking your window to fit a standard curtain size. At Quickfit you can order the whole process online. Choose your fabric and curtain heading, enter your measurements, select how you want the curtains to open and see your price before you order. We make custom curtains in sheer, blockout, linen, linen-blend and heavyweight fabrics, with options including S-Fold, Pinch Pleat and Eyelet curtains. We deliver custom made curtains Australia-wide, so you do not need to book an in-home appointment or wait for someone to come out and quote.

From Fabric to Finished Curtain, We Make It Ourselves

Quickfit is Australian owned, with our customer care and warehouse team based in Mornington, Victoria. Our manufacturing operation is based in our own 4,000m² facility in Hangzhou, one of the world’s major textile manufacturing regions. We manufacture and develop our own core curtain fabrics in controlled production runs and make the finished curtains ourselves. This gives us control over much more than the sewing. We can control the fabric weight, weave, colour, coating, construction and finishing, then see how that fabric actually behaves once it becomes a full-size curtain. It also means we are not simply buying your fabric from an Australian fabric wholesaler after you place an order and then sending it to a separate curtain workroom. We make the fabric. We make the curtain. And we sell it directly. That is where our factory-direct value comes from.

More Included as Standard

A low starting price does not tell you much if the things that make the finished curtain hang properly are added afterwards. Our custom curtains include the finishing details we think should be there in the first place. A 7cm tailored hem gives the bottom of the curtain a cleaner, more substantial finish. Weighted corners help pull the curtain down and keep the shape sitting properly. We calculate the curtain fullness from the measurements you enter, so you do not need to work out how much fabric is required yourself. For Custom S-Fold Curtains, the slimline S-Fold track is included along with the corded runners and our snap-button curtain system. Every snap button corresponds with a runner, which means the S-Fold spacing has already been worked out for you. It is a more complete curtain from the beginning, rather than a base curtain with the important parts added later.

See Your Price Before You Order

See Your Price Before You Order

You do not need to arrange a consultation just to find out what your curtains will cost. Choose a custom curtain product, enter your measurements and options and your price calculates online before you add it to your cart. The final price depends on your curtain width and drop, fabric and curtain heading. For Custom S-Fold Curtains, the S-Fold track is included.

How Much Do Custom Curtains Cost?

There is no single price for a custom curtain because every curtain is made to a different width and drop. Fabric choice, curtain heading and whether you are creating a single or double curtain setup also affect the final price. At Quickfit you can see your price before ordering. Select a curtain, enter your measurements and options and the price updates online. When comparing custom curtain prices, compare the finished setup rather than the headline starting price. Check the fabric, required fullness, curtain heading, track or hardware, hems, weights and other finishing that is actually included. For Quickfit Custom S-Fold Curtains, the track is included. Our custom curtains also include 7cm tailored hems and weighted corners as standard.

Custom Fabric Options

Fabric is the biggest part of a curtain, so start with what you need the window to do. Do you want soft light, more daytime privacy, a true blockout, a natural linen texture or something heavier and more substantial?

Custom sheer curtains

Sheer curtains soften natural light and add texture without completely closing the room off. Different sheer fabrics provide very different levels of transparency and daytime privacy, so compare lighter sheers with heavier textured sheers and linen blends before deciding.

Sheer

We strongly recommend ordering free fabric samples before placing a custom order. Look at them against your flooring, walls and furniture and check them during the day and again at night.

Custom blockout curtains

Blockout curtains are the better choice when night-time privacy, darkness and greater protection from heat and cold are important. Our range includes coated blockout fabrics as well as heavier room-darkening fabrics.

Blockout

For rooms where darkness is particularly important, see our dedicated home theatre curtain options.

Home Theatre Curtains

If insulation is the main concern, compare our heavier and thermal curtain options.

Thermal Curtains

Linen and linen-blend curtains

Linen brings texture and movement that is difficult to replicate with a completely flat fabric. Choose pure linen if you love natural variation and relaxed creasing, or a linen blend if you want some of that texture with a little more stability and easier care.

Linen

Double curtains sheer + blockout

If you want soft filtered light during the day and privacy or darkness at night, use two layers. A front sheer can stay closed during the day while the blockout behind operates independently. For S-Fold curtains, a double-track setup lets both layers move separately.

How To Buy Custom Curtains

  1. Order free fabric samples first so you can compare colour, texture, weight and privacy in your own room.
  2. Choose your preferred curtain header style.
  3. Measure the width of the track or rod area you want to cover and the required drop. Do not simply measure the glass.
  4. Enter the requested measurements and product options online. Your price calculates before you order and we calculate the fullness for you.
  5. Place your order and we make the curtains to your measurements. Custom curtains are generally made and dispatched in 5–7 business days; delivery is additional.

What Curtain Header Type Is Right For You?

S-Fold

S-Fold creates a continuous wave from the top of the curtain to the floor. It works particularly well for floor-to-ceiling sheers, wide windows and sliding doors. Quickfit Custom S-Fold Curtains include the slimline track, corded runners and our snap-button system.

S-Fold Curtains

Pinch Pleat

Pinch Pleat gives the curtain a more tailored heading with structured pleats across the top. Quickfit uses a double Pinch Pleat and adjustable hooks, which gives some flexibility in the finished height.

Pinch Pleat

Eyelet

Eyelet curtains hang directly from a curtain rod and are a straightforward choice when you want the rod to remain part of the finished look. They work across sheer, linen-look and blockout fabrics and suit a modern and contemporary curtain look.

Custom vs Ready-Made Curtains

Neither option is automatically better. It depends on the window and what you want the finished room to look like.

Choose custom made curtains when… Choose ready-made curtains when…
You need an exact width and drop Your windows suit standard curtain sizes
You want floor-to-ceiling or wall-to-wall coverage You need curtains very quickly
The opening is unusually wide or tall You are working to a tighter initial budget
You want a particular fabric and heading An exact made-to-measure fit is not essential
You want fullness calculated for the opening You are happy adapting standard widths

Quickfit makes both custom and ready-made curtains, so if a ready-made curtain will do the job properly there is no reason to make the process more complicated.

Why choose custom made curtains over ready made

Custom curtains are made to the measurements you provide, giving you an exact width and drop plus a wider choice of fabrics and header styles. They are particularly useful for wide openings, sliding doors and floor-to-ceiling installations. If your window suits a standard size and you need curtains immediately, ready-made can be the better option.

How do I measure for custom curtains?

Measure the width of your curtain track or rod, or the position where you intend to install one, then measure the drop from the top of the track or rod to where you want the curtain to finish. Use the relevant Quickfit measuring guide before ordering rather than measuring only the glass.

Are custom curtains expensive?

They do not have to be. Compare the finished setup rather than a headline starting price. Check the fabric, fullness, track or hardware, hems, weights and finishing that are actually included. Quickfit lets you enter your measurements and see your price online before ordering.

Can you do Double Custom Made Curtains?

Yes. A common double setup uses a sheer at the front and a blockout behind. For ceiling-mounted S-Folds without a cornice, position the back track approximately 6cm from the wall and the front track approximately 18cm from the wall, giving around 12cm centre-to-centre spacing. The rear blockout should finish approximately 2cm shorter than the front sheer.
